TIFLIS/ Georgien/Opernhaus: „OPERA CROWN“ – internationaler Sangeswettbewerb
Nombulelo Yende
In der ersten Mai-Woche 2018 fand in Tiflis/Georgien an der dortigen Oper unter dem Titel “Opera Crown” ein internationaler Sangeswettbewerb statt , bei dem die suedafrikanischen Saenger Palesa Malielola , Cecilia Rangwanasha, Siphamandla Yakupa und Nombulelo Yende teilnahmen.
Von vier suedafrikanischen Saengern kamen drei in das Finale. Hier ein erster Bericht von Nombulelo Yende.
“The Tbilisi Opera Crown Competition was the most amazing experience for me, to even make it through to the semi-finals was the greatest achievement for me seeing how high the standards were with the most amazing singers from around the globe. When they called my name to say I had made it to the final round I couldn’t believe it, I couldn’t even celebrate because I thought they made a mistake. I am most grateful for the opportunity to have performed in front of the most prominent people in our field from all the big opera houses and the amazing Grace Bumbry.”
Nombulelo Yende sang in der ersten Runde Non mi dir (Mozart), Qui la voce (Bellini) , im Semifinale O quante volte (Bellini) ,Una voce poco fa (Rossini) und im Finale: Dove sono (Mozart) und Ernani involami (Verdi) .
Sie wird am 22.Juni in Johannesburg im “Rand Club’ auftreten.
